If you have a love/hate relationship with your day job or you just feel stuck and emotionally disconnected with your work, today’s episode of Freelance to Founder is just what you need.

On the show today we hear from Joanna Wiebe, the founder of Copy Hackers, a website filled with authoritative content for writers. But like everyone on the show, she didn’t begin with a giant, successful business.

Joanna tried following the expected college route and went to law school for a day—no really, one day—before realizing it wasn’t for her. She liked the safety of a desk job, but she knew she wasn’t built for it. She graduated in Communication instead and went straight to work as an agency writer and later worked for Intuit (maker of QuickBooks).

Enough is enough. Make 2018 the year you trade your worst clients for some of the best companies in the world. Click here to learn how.

It was then that she joined an online community where someone asked for feedback on their website. She gave him feedback on the copy, and he thanked her publicly online. From there, the floodgates opened.

An idea slowly formed, and Joanna used this idea of community that had helped her so much in her own website.

For the rest of Joanna’s story, listen to episode 3.4 of Freelance to Founder. As a bonus, you’ll also learn how Joanna writes to convert her customers and create an engaged community.
