From web designer to building Freshbooks into a multi-million-dollar company with Mike McDerment (FTF 4.4)

Mike McDerment had the entrepreneurial bug early on. In second grade, he built a video game and told everyone he was going to sell it. Today, Mike runs Freshbooks—a tool for freelancers with nearly 2 million active users.

It all started when Mike was building a web design agency and accidentally erased one client’s invoice while saving another.

In that moment, Mike decided there had to be a much better way, so he built Freshbooks, a cloud-based bookkeeping and invoicing system for freelancers.

On today’s episode of Freelance to Founder, you’ll hear Mike’s story from web design agency to building one of the most-used tools for freelancers on the market.
