Upselling is a sales technique used by businesses to get clients/customers to purchase more expensive or higher-end products or services.

This is done by convincing customers to upgrade their existing products or services, or to buy related products to go along with the original purchase. For example, a freelance copywriter hired to write social media content might upsell a client on email copywriting services.

Upselling plays an important role in the world of freelancing, as it’s a way for a freelancer to increase the potential revenue they can earn from a project. You can upsell a client by suggesting additional services or features that could enhance the original project. This could include providing additional design elements, creating additional content, or extending the project timeline. Upselling is a great way to increase the revenue of your freelance business and can help you to increase your profits.
