Net D

“Net D” is a payment term that is often used in the freelance industry. The “D” in “Net D”  refers to the number of days that a client has to pay an invoice after it has been issued. For example, if the payment term is “Net 30“, the client has 30 days from the date of the invoice to make payment.

You should not actually write “Net D” on your invoice. Instead, you should write the appropriate number of days after which payment of the invoice is due—as agreed to with your client.

It is important for freelancers to understand what “Net D” means because it affects their cash flow and ability to manage their finances. By knowing the payment terms for each project, freelancers can plan their budget and ensure that they have enough money to cover their expenses until payment is received.

In addition, understanding “Net D” can help freelancers to negotiate payment terms with clients. If a freelancer needs to receive payment more quickly, they may be able to request a shorter payment term, such as “Net 15“.
